Official Partner Witnesses | The 13th Hefei Sports Games kicks off grandly

Wonderful city games go hand in hand with the Olympics. On August 8, the opening ceremony of the 13th Hefei City Games hosted by the Hefei Municipal People's Government was held at the Shaoquan Sports Center. Zhang Hongwen, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the Games. Mayor Luo Yunfeng delivered a speech. Li Jun, Director of the Provincial Sports Bureau, Wang Weidong, Chairman of the Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, Han Bing, Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, Lu Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and municipal leaders Shan Hu, Zhang Yesuo, and Wang Haixia attended. Deputy Mayor Li Mingshan presided over the opening ceremony.

As an official partner, Yu Haiyan, President of Green Valley, attended the opening ceremony to witness the exciting moment together.

After the opening ceremony, there were cultural and sports performances. The four chapters of "Passion Flying", "Millennium Ancient Luzhou", "Pursuing the Chinese Dream Together" and "Embark on a New Journey" formed an audio-visual feast.

As the most comprehensive sports event with the highest standards, largest scale and strongest competitive level in Hefei, this Municipal Games spans eight months and has two major divisions, namely the mass department and the youth department, 73 major events and 834 minor events. A total of 14 delegations from municipal agencies and 13 counties (cities, districts) and development zones, and nearly 20,000 sports enthusiasts from all walks of life participated.

At present, 70% of all 73 major events have been completed, and the opening ceremony is also a comprehensive review of the development of Hefei's sports industry. Basketball, badminton, table tennis for the group, roller skating, track and field for the youth will be launched after the opening ceremony.

The 13th Hefei Games is hosted by the People's Government of Hefei City, and co-organized by the Hefei Sports Bureau, the Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Municipal Party Committee of Hefei, the Education Bureau of Hefei, the People's Governments of various counties (cities) and districts, the Management Committees of various development zones, and the Hefei Sports Federation. It aims to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, strengthen youth sports work, promote the comprehensive development of mass sports and competitive sports, accelerate the construction of a strong sports city, and strive to create a model city for national sports and fitness.
